After releasing the May security package for some high-end and even middlemen, now it’s Samsung’s turn ensure the update to the Galaxy Note 8. According to the people at SamMobile, the update started to be distributed today in selected markets.
The security package is available in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Luxembourg and Germany.
The firmware version is N950FXXSBDTE6 and update weighs about 436 MB. Thus, about 9 critical Android vulnerabilities and 18 more loopholes found in Samsung’s own interface will be fixed.
For now, there are still no reports of Brazilian users receiving the update. This is because it is being distributed slowly and gradually via OTA. Even so, if you want to check availability, just follow the following path:
Settings> System> Updates> Check for updates
It is worth remembering that the Galaxy Note 8 should not receive Android 10. Therefore, the device will continue to receive only security updates.
